OK, first an official disclaimer - I didn't promise 100% it will be opened today. I promise, though, it will be good enough, while some might , as always, not like it.
What I figured out is the method of getting it, I miss one important thing needed about it.
What I do wish, and what isn't there, is an ability to play the game partially. For example, you're given a screen with 6 Warriors and one city, and can manage those online, with limited space and options, but still something! That isn't there .
Yes, I really am excited about this, almost as excited as about the game.
Friday I've been monitroing possible restarts of server, by giving it pings all the time. Of course, while restarting, server wouldn't respond to any requests.

I don't believe you. Why don't you prove it by telling us what it looks like so when we see it we will know you were telling the truth. Or better yet, grab a few images off of the site to show us.

I think it is nearing completion. Now I do get taken to a proper website but just get a 'you are not authorised to view this page'. Previously I just got directed to a silly IP. I think it is close. Within the week perhaps?

I am confused What does rebooting a server have to do with putting up a website? What, everytime they upload something they have to reboot?

Yes, they do. Mostly all of infograme's websites are .asp So, if you can truly sneak in and see it's contents, then you must have hacked their server. I find this highly unlikely, as well as a stupid thing to do for a game.

If the Firaxis site is down, then that means that they might be changing the civ3 section so that it links you to civ3.com!!!
