Make that three!
On 11th July I posted on the system requirements thread:
quote: It's great to see that you are all happy, but I'm not! My monitor, despite being 14", only supports up to a 800 x 600 resolution!
I have to demand a support for 800x600! How can I explain to my parents that I need a new monitor just to play a game?!? After all, a monitor is just a monitor! I didn't play Railroad Tycoon II because of that, but I can live with that.
But not without CIV III!!!
Give me support for 800x600!
Pretty please? |
Almost a month has past, but I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that needs a 800x600 resolution to play the game.
On the release date thread I posted
quote:
I won't be enjoying the beauty of the game unless I have a 1024x768 resolution? Hey, it's me who has to live with it, not you! And if you didn't worry about it on SMAC, please don't start it now...
|
one day before I posted:
quote:
Do you know what this means to me? It means that I need to upgrade my video card and monitor! Which means, in other words, that it's better for me to buy a new PC to replace my oldie AMD K6-2 with 64 MB RAM. Which means that I have to buy a new PC with my own money, which will only happen around April 2002! Man, Civ 3 only in April?!?
Life is so cruel!
Damn resolution... What's wrong with 800x600?
|
So, I can wait some more time for an answer from Firaxis, but I just posted these posts to express my difficulty to get a 1024x728 resolution.

Can I have the other To_Serve_Man? I'll pay double what you paid! Until then, I'm stuck with my 17 inch Trinitron
Note: Both this post and the one after it belong after To_Serve_Man's post.

LOL! Don't you just love it when that happens? It's amazing how I knew about that monitor before you posted....
