Hi Guys:

I got the original sends, and the resend from Misotu. I still haven't found a couple of hours to play NU1. I would hate to start it, and have to save in the middle with a reload msg. I got a few small turns played today, so only NUs and one other left to play. Hopefully tommorrow. Sorry for the delay, but RL comes first!

Nato2, 2164 is finally off to Big_C. For some reason I can't save new game files in XFire on the laptop (though I can in vanilla SMAC). I can only overwrite old ones (which came as a bit of a surprise I only tried overwriting to prove to myself that I hadn't done something strange with directory permissions (or whatever they're called in DOS) ... Still, I think this is OK now.

Mis:

I always overwrite the old game in all my PBEMs - seems to me it's that much more efficient. Hit save & exit, bring up old gamesave, delete, change year, save, zip, send. (only problem is you can never resend the turn without replaying it if for some reason the current save is corrupt)

Hi Googlie, yeah you're right. Anyway, I don't have the space at the moment to keep old turns. I was mostly concerned about it because it indicates a problem with the installation - and this time round, sure enough, I could not save the turn at all when I got to the end. I've reinstalled SMAX, tested it on a completed turn of another crossfire game a few times. It appears to be fine now, saves correctly every time. So apologies for the reload message and 2195 is off to Big_C, finally.

Well, I know I played this turn and sent it off a few days ago, but I can't find it anywhere I don't have much disk space at the moment and am having to delete turns pretty much as soon as I can, so I suppose I must have deleted this one in error. Sorry.

I have replayed the turn and sent it to Big_C. I can't swear that I did exactly the same things over again, I can't remember all of it. There were no pods, so that's one big variable that doesn't apply.
