I still use 8.5.1

there is a netscape 6.1 for osX as well as a version for 7.5 and up.


I have no idea whether the X version has any major problems....and I never will

I've been using it for 3 days now and had 1 crash at a crappy chat site that I wandered on to for some testing.I got a nifty pop up telling the problem was recorded or something and would I like to report it.Then I could describe the problem,the url and what not.I felt like I was helping.Course I could just ignore that if I wanted.If that is the only problem I find,I'll be completely satisfied as chat is not my thing.Would use an IRC program for that anyway

Thanks for the warm welcome, lol. I don't know whether to be happy or a little scared that my joining the boards is such a big deal. It's been a big day; I joined, Civ3 went gold, Brad from Westlake answered some questions, and we have a two page thread! That's a big deal around here, right?

Personally I am a bit mad that "the most modifyable Civ game" will not have any macro/event handling"
Sigh, I hope MacSoft also ports the expansion that contains this.

You can set how many posts you want on each page. I think the default is 25, inot sure about that.
The obvious conclusion is that d dude has changed the settings for posts-per-page.

actually, I think markG is really the mod of these forums, as I believe macuser doesn't do it anymore. I might be wrong, but hopefully someone official will correct us

it's not a big deal as in "we worship you", it's more of a big deal as in "thank God, a new poster". If wulf posts a bit, and a few people start new topics, we'll be set for the weekend.

I have this all figured out. Behind-the-scenes we're coordinating some subtle and covert 'come to poly' threads in mac forums elsewhere...as civ3 nears release, our userbase should double (don't laugh).

Everyone:

I believe MacUser is still on the staff of Apolyton and is responsible for the Macintosh part of the Web site. I think that includes moderating the Civ Mac forums ... not much of a job, really, it seems, considering the glacial posting rate most of the time.

I believe he is responsible for everything Macintosh at Apolyton. I could be wrong, though, and would be none the wiser unless MacUser himself or another poster pointed out my mistake.
