Suffering from ads?

Leeds sounds best. We can always repair to Joseph's Well if Wetherspoons gets boring.

No it's called something like the 'Dover Drover' or something like that, I'll be able to tell you on Friday night..., the name is certainly a departure from the usual 'lunacy'.

There's another one over the hill in Brockley too, 'Brockley Arms' I think? I was there the other week when an old school friend emailed me on that friends reunited site - hadn't seen him for over ten years and he's only been living a few hundred yards away for the last 4 1/2 years...

Small World!

The Wetherspoons in Bromley was supposed to be called "The Bishop of Rochester", but for technical reasons it can't be named that yet. So as is it has no name, 'cept "The Wetherspoons".

Leeds seems to be the front-runner , York second. Anyone not able to make Leeds? (PH if parking is a problem split it with Snapcase, EiF, and Paul, presuming they hitch a ride)

EiF, which of the four were you planning on? What's its name, and where is it? My last venture to Leeds was a schoolkid on a field trip, so my knowledge of the area is slight to nil..

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

I don't know... I don't know Leeds that well, I just did a search on the Wetherspoons website.

I do know, however, that one of the most central ones is brand new and pretty big (they were still building it last time I was in Leeds!) so that might be best.

Eastbourne? I would go but I wonder if it would be a meet in pub, considering your ages. Who else is within a reasonable distance of the southeast coastline?

Don't like pubs!

I'm not going to Eastbourne just to not go to a pub!

I've been there once already - why would I ever need to go back!?

I vote Leeds, given the rip-off-mortgage-your-own-house-just-to-get-a-ticket prices of the trains, I may even try my hand at hitchhiking...

MOBIUS, coaches are a lot, lot cheaper and probably not a great deal slower than trains would be to a destination like Leeds (express service). I reckon you check it out at www.gobycoach.com

I am NOT driving Oop North! Some scally might 'ave me 'ubcabs!

Hmmm, I gonna have to stay over - I don't fancy travelling for 8 hours in one day just to see you lot...

If we went to York, Snap & EiF could maybe show me round town on the Saturday?

But not stupid! What's that, £100+ just for a rickety train a couple of hundred miles...

Besides I've momentarily misplaced my source of income...

Leeds return on an Apex sounds fine to me!

If we're going really north, then I suggest Oxford.
