Merry Christmas all. We had a Christmas day of 39C (102F or so I believe). Damn hot!

Back to the game: We are proud to announce that BS's pessimism was unfounded. The last alien base has been conquered and their faction eradicated. Now the game gets real interesting!

Well, brother, you can call for it.
But I'm afraid the sea level rising (more than it already is, which is a considerable amount) would interfere pretty severely with my terriforming. I'm afraid that while I am prepared to vote on it, I am not prepared to vote for it.


Another issue that I was wondering: If one of us transcends, would you all like to continue the game? I was considering a four-way-free for all brawl might be interesting, especially since usually a transcending faction makes insane sacrifices of units/facilities/weapons research to transcend, so it would be an interesting fight.
Also, I'm wondering how it would be to fight other humans in a high-tech war. Orbital pods, nerve gas, mindworms, locusts, planet busters. Each adds a LOT to the game, but the AI doesn't use any. Since this will be my second MP game I've ever finished, I wonder what it'd be like?
We could have an immediate brawl, a five year wait, then a free for al, a longer wait, whatever. We could have 3 on 1, 2 on 2 (first place with last place on the power graph versus middle two), whatever.
Some thoughts and suggestions.

Why on earth would I vote to melt the polar ice-caps & raise the sea-levels?

In my experience, you cannot play on after someone transcends in MP. Furthermore, in AI games, I've had the AI use MW's, Locusts, PB's, & Nervegas. Don't think they've used Satellites though!

Well, yes, they use them. But they use them sparingly, a little bit. Humans use 4 or 5 PB's, or 10 nerve gas choppers hitting cities, each city hit 10 times, in one turn. That sort of thing.
The AI in endgame sucks big big time.


Sometimes, the AI will build sats, but only if it's WAY ahead.
Shrug. By endgame, humans are generally so far ahead the game is lacking serious challenge.

Want to keep playing? I have a terrible position (no military to speak of), but am a little safe from direct attack, as I am far away and have no shoreline.
