It's been a while... We're up to 2137. I'm digging in vs the Uni, trying to work a border push... For some reason, they're destroying the Borehole Cluster, which only lies partially in my territory. The laser units and probes are already knocking, and I'm still in early development. It is definitely nice to be the Hive in this situation! I predict University destruction, conservatively, by 2200... Of course, Roze will probably have transcended by then.

Is this one of the "thunderdome" games ?-- I took on thunderdome I as a replacement for Deimos in the 2160s (Spartans). I must say that so far it seems a good challenge and hopefully one of these years I'll be able to do something other than trade blow for blow with hordes of AI LOL

Hey Flubber, you got it... I'm hanging in there. My bases haven't come under direct assault yet, but it's only a matter of time. I do have some room for expansion, and I'm filling it as fast as I can, but it's slow going. Probe teams are my only hope to catch up tech-wise... I think Roze having infiltration on everyone from the start is going to be the real kicker...

I am making headway as I have not lost a unit for a couple of turns through carefully rotating them away but the AI is sending hordes-- . We're a lot of years ahead (2180 now) but I'll be curious to see how it works out for you both. Its good to play a tweaked AI that just isn't a patsy for whichever human finds them first.

hey guys

Qantaga and I are in the 2240s on our version of this challenge and the AI is looking killer. The consciousness is long dead, the uni is just hanging on and the aliens are more painful annoyances than real threats . . . But the angels are massive. They are snapping up ALL the SPs and have at least 5 armour. Since they have twice my pop, the HSA and a massive tech lead, the future does not look too bright at all. I have not given up hope though .

Don't tell anyone I said so, but I think you've got the harder task, Hobbes. The Spartans are tough, but to me they're slow starters. Yang just rolls right along with PS/Planned... And the Uni is much easier to probe than the Cyborgs.

I'm doing alright, but I've stolen so much tech it looks to be another 30 turns before my next breakthrough. But I've got the aliens in my crosshairs now...
