So, the main problem that people have with her is she didn't make easy political points by going to Ground Zero, getting filmed doing all kinds of nice things, etc. like thousands of others did? | No Gibsie, the main problem is she isn't doing what she was elected to do, which is represent the people of NYS, and to help in the smooth recovery from recent disasters. What your saying is a simplistic bating argument, save it for the other guys, but I'll explain what I mean. And I'll thank you to ask a question next time, not try to paint me into a corner as a politcal reactionary, with such a loaded question. Bad form, old boy.
She proposed NO legeslation to help in the releif efforts for families of this tragedy (Both Pataki and Guillianni did), showed no support for the people on the front line of this (Firefighters, rescue workers, and volunteers), because she believed it wasn't important enough, what was more important was sabatoging Bush's economic relief bill, while she has proposed no alternative, outside of a bill to lower taxes for upper NY, a HUGE voter block for her, while providing no relief for NYC tax wise.
Instead, she is pandering to special interest groups, practicing partisan politics (Disagreeing with republicans simply because they are republicans, not because of issues), and using her postion as a plank for her presidential assperations, not doing what she promised the naieve voters of NYS what she promissed she would.
Her and her husband tried to steal everything that wasn't nailed down at the white house (and some things that were!), and her behaviour was been horriffic since she first showed on the public scene over 9 years ago.
Where is the health care package she promised?
What she proposed was so redicoulous Democrats refused to back it, as it was less care for more money!
She fired the white house travel staff (an illeagal act) so she could put in her cronies.
How about her and bill ripping up the private life of any who opposed them with the justice department? (can anybody say Linda Tripp? I knew that you could)
She also used that against the travel staff, but they countered with law suits and the matter was dropped when the Clintons caved and componsated them.
How about how she stonewalled on the whitewater investigation (hiding records for 3 years, that suddenly "turned up", sans any incriminating information, of course)
Yes, she managed to turn 10,000 dollars into 1000,000 dollars overnight, although NOBODY knows how, to this day.
Add the immigrant matter to her list of "accomplishments".
The list is endless, but this is what happens when you make a lawyer a politician, you get the worst of both worlds.
Hopefully you, Senaca and nc can now see why I revile this loathesom woman throughly.

Chris- "She proposed NO legeslation to help in the releif efforts"
She was not a co-sponsor on any of the relief bills? That would be amazing.
-"she believed it wasn't important enough"
Is there a quote associated with this?
-"sabatoging Bush's economic relief bill"
There are legitimate policy reasons to oppose his bill. The >$1 billion donation to IBM, for example.
-"while she has proposed no alternative"
The Democrats in general have; I imagine she signed on.
I don't know anything about the NY tax thing, but that sounds highly irregular.
quote: pandering to special interest groups, practicing partisan politics (Disagreeing with republicans simply because they are republicans, not because of issues), and using her postion as a plank for her presidential assperations | I agree these are all bad, but hopefully you recognize she is not alone, or even the worst.
-"tried to steal everything that wasn't nailed down at the white house"
Turns out that was not true.
I won't re-hash the scandals.
On the "immigrant thing," wasn't she just trying to help grieving constituents?
I actually don't like her either, but my reasons aren't debatable.

quote: -"she believed it wasn't important enough"
Is there a quote associated with this? | Not in so many words, what she actually did was turn down several relief fundraisers to attend democratic fund raisers for Mark Green, who would lose the NY election, and has shown zero empathy with this state and it's people.
quote: -"sabatoging Bush's economic relief bill"
There are legitimate policy reasons to oppose his bill. The >$1 billion donation to IBM, for example. | I'm waiting to see a viable alternative, all Dashow says is 'we can't afford this".
quote: -"while she has proposed no alternative"
The Democrats in general have; I imagine she signed on. | I would like to see this proposal
quote: I don't know anything about the NY tax thing, but that sounds highly irregular. | Shumer crushed if before it got far, he saw the damage it would cause.
quote: I agree these are all bad, but hopefully you recognize she is not alone, or even the worst. | I'm not a Republican or Democrat, so I see all the bad from BOTH sides, believe me.
quote: -"tried to steal everything that wasn't nailed down at the white house"
Turns out that was not true. | Actually it was, and they had to return quite a bit of purloined items, and the investigation continues, part of the ol "Great right wing conspiracy" she used to love to yell about.
quote: I won't re-hash the scandals. | I covered it fairly well, but have you seen a resent political figure with so many, so often?
Where there is smoke, there is fire.
quote: On the "immigrant thing," wasn't she just trying to help grieving constituents? | She is a US Senator, how are non-US Citizens her constituents?
I was under the impression a Senator was supposed to represent the citizens of the USA, not law breakers in this country illeagally, or perhaps on wrong here?
quote: I actually don't like her either, but my reasons aren't debatable. | It would be interesting to find someone who does support this phoney at this point, but only hard line Democrats seem to be in her camp at this point.
quote: Hillary was instrumental, with Schumer, in getting the $20 billion cashola in aid promises from Bush for New York, so it's not true that she hasn't done anything. | She added her signature to a peice of paper, on something the President promised from almost day one Dan, I would hardly call that instrumental.
This woman is a phoney and a manipulator, and her approval rating in this state clearly shows that I'm not the only New Yorker who thinks this way. She does nothing for us, only for herself.

Hail to the Chief, President Hillary Rodham Clinton....
Better get used to the sound of it, conservatives. It is going to occur. No power in the universe can stop it.
And just think, the Clintons could be completely off the national radar scope right now... But, nooooooooooooo! We've got to go after him for sex lies, when he's in his lame duck term of office
Imbeciles!

Because I currently don't pay income (I do pay sales taxes, for instance) taxes, my opinion on immigration is "suspect?"
Save your bald assertions for Giannie.

Sorry, I don't see authoritarianism as a justification for itself. Try again.

How so? Is she preventing US citizens form entering the country?
