Well I suppose I can respect whores, like lawyers. They do a service to those who can't get their end away. Some may consider it to be a vile profession, but at least you can choose to go with a prostitute and is still pleasurable. The same cannot be said of the legal professional, who are only of use if you are in the ****, and are even more expensive than whores (apparently ).

So lawyers still get my vote

I agree with KittyH. Being a doctor is among the most overrated jobs IMO.

But politicians easily take the cake for the least respectable profession, while still staying within the bounds of law.

I only think doctors are the most overrated because they have the most respect. People behave like the medical profession is more demanding, difficult, etc. than all others combined.

I respect doctors, but no more than I respect a few other professions.

Artists who maintain their 'artistic integrity'. That's unrespectable in my eyes, since I view it as nothing more than selfishness.

I agree that doctors are overated primarily surgeons who perform million dollar operations which prolong life, allowing the patient to use a bed pan for two more months. When that same million dollars could have prolong life for 40+ years of dozens of people in the developing world. Of course the market will never demand that changed.

Lawyers perform a highly useful services, especially given the fact that I used a free phone consolatation to gather information about blind speed traps in order to fight a ticket recently.

Oh, and I'd like to mention that whoever voted for blue-collar shovel jockeys and garbagemen should be forced to work those jobs for a few months. Having spent some time behind a shovel myself (and some time piling stacks of grody, decaying used soda cans), I know I couldn't do it for the rest of my life without snapping, and I respect anybody who can.
