Games I'm looking forward to:
- Heroes of Might & Magic 4 (great for hotseat)
- Age of Mythology (those mythological units and the deitieswill it really interesting IMO)
- Praetorians (from what I've read it sounds better than Medieval Total War)
- Stars! Supernova Genesis (if it ever comes out)
MoO3, RoN and C&C Generals all sound interesting, but I don't know much about them yet

HoMM 4
WC3 - Which I can tell everyone is very good and I can't wait to see what they're going to do with the single player. Heroes make such a difference (plus that whole 4 races thing).
Lords of the Realm 3 - It'll be while
NCAA 2003 - If they just change one or two things from last year it will be one of the best football games ever.
RoN - I want to see what they can do with this
C&C: General - check out this article http://extra.gamespot.co.uk/pc.game...btg_ccgenerals/ and this preview http://www.gamespot.co.uk/stories/p...2106395,00.html
BTW, Renegade is out and doesn't support Voodoo cards AFAIK. The demo would not run on many Voodoo cards, and the ones it did were really shaky.

I've read those articles and it sounds very promising and the graphics look very good, yet only very few features in this game seems to be set in stone yet. I wonder what effect the introduction of bulldozers (basically villagers like in AoE) is going to have.
What I don't really like is the real world szenario with the US, possibly China and a terrorist fraction... but as long as gameplay is good I won't care much.
BTW what do you mean with the 4 races thing in HoMM4? IIRC there are more than that.

I've had a chance to give the WarCraft 3 Beta a quick spin... and I must say, it was pretty disapointing.
Although I barely got to play, it seems like they've not really done anything new. The only new thing is the heros, and how they gain levels, items, and abilities - which, if you ask me is really out of place in the game and doesn't reall add anything. Aside from that, it is basically the same as warcraft or starcraft, not even any new concepts or quirks to the races as far as I can tell, either. Also, I wasn't impressed by the graphics, they look good and all but I think they went overboard with it, it being 3D adds absolutely nothing - infact, it can make the raised elevations quite large and annoying.
Oh, and you can't even build walls - what the hell good are towers if you can't have walls?

The thought of seeing the sun glint off the shields of Roman legions marching into battle, gives me Spartacus flashbacks. . . |
Did you have a look at Praetorians?
