Italian Army Takes to the Air!

In a spectacular excercise held outside Naples, the Italian Army has exhibited it's newest capability: an 'air corps'. President Case attended the exhibition and was most impressed by the display, vowing that "Italy's future lies in the skies".

It is rumored that Italy's newly aquired aerial technology was developed following a Ministry of Science report noting that Italy's booming trade had left the country with a huge number of what the report called "beakers" of scientific potential.

Naturally, this technology has been shared with Italy's eternal French and English Allies.

CEC continues to struggle!
Despite doubling in size, the Civil Engineering Corps still struggles to keep up with the tasks designated by the Premier. However, help is on the way, 9 new brigades are to arrive before July to augment the current engineers.

Railroad closures
Due to maintanance work on the railway close to the English Channel, all frieghts are to be routed through between Strausburg, Stutggart and Nancy. Further closures for pollution cleanup are taking place in NorthWestern France as well, neccesitating road travel and possible delays in delivery, full service will resume next month.

The influx of Italian small arms in southern Germany has put our own arms production in a surplus, but fortunately the commander of France's garrison at Arnhem has been considering refitting his troops with more modern weaponry.

After he offered a contract to the lowest bidder for 1,240 bolt-action rifles, the government-owned arms factories in Erfurt bought the contract and supplied the Arnhem garrison with brand new Mauser K.98's. Despite several injuries due to breech explosions, most of the men see them as an improvement over their antiquated Lebels.

The Mauser Karabiner 98.

If you have a website, just upload the file to it and then put the URL in (img)(/img)* tags in your post. If you don't have a website, just make a crappy geocities one for nothing but uploads or use the upload feature available to all posters here and at CFC.

* - You actually use brackets, but if I type these in with brackets the forum shows that unidentified image red x symbol.
