They do say that the universe is moving towards chaos, and away from order. Entropy, or somesuch. Explosions are a nice example of natural processes which cause chaos.

the problem with explosions is that if it happens to ppl with no real status yet they are forgotten easily...doesn't matter what they want to do in the future only what they are at the moment.
(eg if the president explodes ppl will remember,if a candidate for the presidential job explodes it will be forgotten after a few days )
