A flurry of communications have passed over the last hours between Brother Pell of the Believers and University Provost Archaic over an unspecified diplomatic incident. While publically, relations between the factions have never been better, with a trade deal recently having been cemented to give the Believers access to higher grade cleaner technologies, amongst other things, behind closed doors, things could not be any more tense, with the recent border incident of a Believer Impact Rover, and the unprecidented University military buildup along the Believer border, with a number of Chopper and Needejet wings easily within range of the entire Believer heartland, including the capital.
More news as it develops.

This just in.
Following a tense communication from the Believer leader which accused him of being without honour, and given the message "May you rot in your own private hell.", University Provost Archaic has, after having apparently given fair warning and asked for a peaceful submission, ordered a wave of attacks by University BlackHawk 80x2 Choppers against Believer Assets along the University/Believer treaty border, and has prepared Peacekeepers for deployment in these territories.
In a public statement, the Provost bemoaned the necessity of the use of force against the Believer bases, and stated that he hoped peace might come soon, and without great loss of life. Along with once again rebuking the Believers for the Impact Rover incident, which triggered the military buildups of both factions, the Provost reiterated his commitment to Nerve Gas weapons not being used in his forces, and stated that he hoped the Believer leadership would not in desperation allow for these weapons to be deployed. He urged Brother Pell to consider the wellbeing of his citizens, and retract his statements against the University and sue for peace.

In the Redemptionist news, it si now official that the dissembler of lies Archaic has now launched an unprovoked attack upon Believer territories. The attack was launched because we would not meet the obviously insane lunatics demands to become servants. The people of Alpha Centauri voted unanimously to withstand, to teh best of their ability, all attacks from the lunatics at the University.

Following attacks by Adept Fusion Needlejets, destroying one University Interceptor and butchering the crew of a Civilian crawler team, University Peacekeepers, with the assistance of wings of BlackHawk-45DR Choppers, have been deployed to New Jerusalem, Hallowed Ground and The Lord's Mercy in an attempt to restore order, troops in the former two being equipped with special tactical gear flown in for them after arrival, and have established secure Perimeters around the base. University troops have reportedly taken to refering to these bases as New Jericho, Unity Memorial and The Provost's Mercy in official dispatches, however it is unclear if these are official renamings of bases, or codenames attached to the Peacekeeping missions.
The Adept leader, Brother Pell, was apparently nowhere to be found in his capital, though military officials state that they believe he is likely nearby, given the hurried state of retreat of the Adept military, leaving both the Maritime Control Center and Planetary Datalinks fully intact.
Provost Archaic has again pleaded with the Adept leadership to reconsider their position, and sue for peace, stating that this bloodshed is totally unnecessary, and foolish, and that the resources of Planet could be put to better use improving the standards of living for all, not literally destroying peoples lives.
[University takes New Jerusalem, Hallowed Ground and The Lord's Mercy, with no losses, and renames them New Jericho, Unity Memorial and The Provost's Mercy respectivly. The Lord's Truth was also emptied of defenders, again with no losses, however was not taken. Turn forwarded to Herc]

Year marches on.
In that we were trying to lead a peaceful existence prior to the unprovoked attack by the Usurper Archaic, is it much of a wonder that many bases lacked adequate defenses.

The remaining Brotherhood bases on the mainland have been occupied, leaving them with only the Seabases, the northern base, and the bases on the western isles.
