if you try to use the img tags you end up with a little red x instead of your image

No, CW is right, Geocities doesn't let you show the pic somewhere else than on their own sites/accounts.
So you get a fancy red X.
Something similar is also the case with Angelfire...

i can't show my desktop...It is a constantly changing swirl of colors...almost like a screen saver. when i try to print screen and make an image out of it, it is still in motion in the pasted image...when i try to save it, it is just black. IT IS BADASS i wish y'all could see it =(
