First registered as "Trappist" in early 1999.

Got bored. Deleted my member account and registered as "Lazarus and the Gimp".

Got hit by "the curse". Had to have account deleted again. Registered as "Lazarus & the Gimp".

Name change feature introduced. Changed name to "Kafka's D1ck".

Markos not amused and changed name back to "Lazarus & the Gimp".

Got bored. Changed name to "Bugs ****ing Bunny" with the intention of changing it back after the statutory 60-day wait.

On day 58 vbb introduced and name change feature dropped. Here I am.

I've never had a name change.

But I agree with all the people who said that the official name change thread should be brought back. I imagine, it's much easier for the admins to post a list of changes since it's all done manually now.

I agree that the name change thread should be brought back. When I changed my username I figured that it would be awfully stupid to create a whole new thread just to announce the name change, when at least 90% (if not 100%) of the posters couldn't care less, and so I just let it slide.

Yeah, that flummoxed a lot of people. That is my intent.

Thats why I'll wait a few more months for enough newbies not to remember the Big Crunch name, then it will happen all over again.

I think I may have to have a poll on which name people prefer. A lot of people have difficulty with my name. You are the first person to ask me to keep the current log-in. Perhaps it just took a while for people to get used to.

My previous login was BoomBoom. That was going on 3 years ago, mainly in the civ3 ideas list. It was the same username as I had in the Firaxis SMAC forums, where I mainly hung out in the OT.

Couple of years without steady internet access, and a completely different email address (the old one doesn't even exist anymore), so I logged in as lightblue (Cambridge colours).
