Civ3 Pbem EP. Can be expected in June I believe. Tho the aussie's down unda' more predictably, get it a little a later (3-6 weeks).

As for me. I can imagine myself playing Civ3 pbem in a year.

BTW, Paul, how did you get the jump on me in this game? I took a couple of turns to discover the wormhole, and didn't build all the essential items for Alien Life in one go, so i assume this was the reason? Have every item ready to finish building as soon as the Wormhole Sensor is completed, discover the wormhole and build/rush buy all of the items that one turn? Is that the secret to your success? I didn't realise that you can't accelerate the building of Alien Life, and must simply wait for it to "just happen".

Serves me right for taking on Paul on the Alien Life Project

Make sure you have one or two cities with huge production (mountains with megamines and all factories and powerplants and such), maximize workday, have a good production government (I had corp rep, but technocracy might be even better) and start building the wormhole sensor as soon as you discover wormholes. And build everything else as soon as you can.

Paul, i had dozens of mega-production cities, and still failed I think i delayed the discovery in order to keep my wonders relevant, and let you build the Wormhole Sensor first. You must have built a wormhole probe and found the wormhole in a single turn, then switched a city's production to the Xenophorm Lab, then quickly built the other bits in a couple of turns. I don't remember twiddling my thumbs for long!

If you want to win alien victory you have to be fast. My highest production city had 7800 production with all my workers on mega mines or laborers. PW at zero and no military to speak of, so I could build an X-Lab in 2 turns. And then I built all the other bits as fast as possible.
