Neutral Good Elf Bard Ranger
Alignment:
Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.
Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.
Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Secondary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Chaotic Good Elf Cleric (secondary Ranger)
Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.
Clerics are the voices of their God/desses on Earth. They perform the work of their deity, but this doesn't mean that they preach to a congregation all their lives. If their deity needs something done, they will do it, and can call upon that deity's power to accomplish their goals.
Secondary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.
This is kinda sad seeing as I dislike religion and priests. I'm not really too crazy about the wild either. But at least I got to be an elfjavascript:smilie(' ')

ARGHHHHHHHHH! I will slaughter the Oberlin internet and my stupid brower for trying to load the old reply screen instead of going back to it as before. I lost my post, which was partially a massive rant about everything that sucked wildly in 1st edition and why my main complaints with 2nd edition was that it kept too much stupid stuff from 1st edition.
Anyway, I got Lawful Good Elf Ranger Druid, which is a reasonable average of my two current characters. I've got a Lawful Good Paladin in one roommates Forgotten Realms 2nd edition game. He has 7 Dexterity and Juggling Proficiency, aka Humiliation proficiency. He's got a nasty +3 Purifier Holy Sword though at the moment (from the Paladin's handbook, a weaker Holy Avenger that's +5 vs. undead basically). My other character is in my other roommate's 3rd edition e-mail game, and he's a Chaotic Neutral Ranger/Rogue elf. With 6 Con. And a serious superiority complex over humans (he travels for amusement to prove his superiority. And generally gets humiliated a good bit, but his 10 Wisdom keeps him from noticing too much).
The test for some reason thinks that Fairness is very Rangery and Druidy, as does my choice of utilitarian traveling clothes. Oh well, no Paladin for me. I think that the test is somewhat biased away from humans though, as well as biased toward the CG and NG alignments. Still, 'twas fun.

Pre-test guess:
Lawful Neutral (Good)
Human / Dwarf
Wizard / (other)
Test result:
You Are A:
Lawful Neutral Human Cleric Druid
Alignment:
Lawful Neutral characters believe in the triumph of law and order above all else. It does not matter whether the leader is for good or evil; the leader will be followed, because the order they provide is the most important thing.
Race:
Humans are the 'average' race. They have the shortest life spans, and because of this, they tend to avoid the racial prejudices that other races are known for. They are also very curious and tend to live 'for the moment'.
Primary Class:
Clerics are the voices of their God/desses on Earth. They perform the work of their deity, but this doesn't mean that they preach to a congregation all their lives. If their deity needs something done, they will do it, and can call upon that deity's power to accomplish their goals.
Secondary Class:
Druids are a special variety of Cleric who serves the Earth, and can call upon the power in the earth to accomplish their goals. They tend to be somewhat fanatical about defending natural settings.

I Am A: Chaotic Neutral Human Mage Bard
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral characters are unstable, and frequently insane. They believe in disorder first and foremost, and will thus strive for that disorder in everything they do. This means that they will do whatever seems 'fun' or 'novel' at any given time.
Race: Humans are the 'average' race. They have the shortest life spans, and because of this, they tend to avoid the racial prejudices that other races are known for. They are also very curious and tend to live 'for the moment'.
Primary Class: Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.
Secondary Class: Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

--"i dont get it... what is this D&D thing about? is it a game? what do you do?"
As has been noted, it's a role-playing game. What you do is very open, limited mostly by your imagination, which is a large part of the attraction.
In any case, this test is not very accurate. My results:

Okay, the elf part I have no argument with. Most of my AD&D characters were elves. Neutral Good is okay, but not exact. I tend to consider myself more chaotic good than neutral good, and there didn't really seem to be all that many questions dealing with the L/N/C scale.
As far as the bard/thief bit goes... I don't get it. Apparently making investments is placed in the thief category, as I didn't choose any of the obviously thievish ones (like "The Treasury: With a loot sack"). The bard one pretty much comes out of nowhere; outside of the questions about throwing a party, the "who would you like to associate with" question is the only one that has a fairly bard-esque answer.

True Neutral Half-Elf Bard Mage
Alignment:
True Neutral characters are very rare. They believe that balance is the most important thing, and will not side with any other force. They will do whatever is necessary to preserve that balance, even if it means switching allegiances suddenly.
Race:
Half-Elves are a cross between a human and an elf. They are smaller, like their elven ancestors, but have a much shorter lifespan. They are sometimes looked down upon as half-breeds, but this is rare. They have both the curious drive of humans and the patience of elves.
Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Secondary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.

For those who haven't played, but are curious what a session is like, check out Adventurers. The campaign involved (as far as I've read) isn't anything special, but it'll give you an idea of what the game is like.
Edit:
Now that I think about it, I should qualify that statement a bit. It's not a bad campaign, it's just (as far as I've read) a pretty typical one. Good for example purposes, but not the best campaign possible.
To put this in perspective for the D&Ders, of all the TSR modules I played, my favorite was the Castle Greyhawk module. Gummi werebears... that mental image still makes me chuckle.

loinburger: Well, theoretically the goodness of somebody is independent of their alignment on the Law-Chaos scale. If you line up an LG, NG, and CG person, you can't tell which is the "goodest" it depends on each person. Although the 2nd edition book has the comment about how CG is "hampered" by their natural dislike of government. According to the Manual of the Planes though, your assumption might be correct, the NG plane is "strongly" aligned to good while the others are only weakly aligned, and the same for NE, LN, and CN planes.
As to the question about doing games online, it can be done, but it is for a very particular type of game. You want people who know each other, but generally who are far away as well, because otherwise there's no reason not to simply do it in person. Battles are interesting, as generally to keep things going the GM runs it all at once, since he can't ask for input every time. In important battles, you run one or two rounds at a time, asking for input after that.
Character interaction is both easier and harder- you can post long interesting messages with lots of flavor text, but actually chatting with other characters is hard, unless you use a chat program, but even then, that has problems too if not everybody is there.
An e-mail game is probably more suited to bizarre character soliloques and its in flavor of character interaction than a dungeon hack, of course.
By the way, as far the Adventurers thing posted (not the same as Adventurers!, for those who know console RPGs). If anybody is curious in a somewhat more clipped account that has the important events, funny statements, and odd situations, I can send over my synopsis of the game I'm in right now, being something of the game's historian.

Well, I didn't tend to play these types of characters. For one thing I shied away from Lawful Good, too much trouble, I prefer a bit more leeway. I never liked Rangers either, in part because of their silly nature crap and in part because they have always been weak in D&D. I have played Bards a bit, and they are fun because they can do a little of everything. They are great for running alone. I did like to play elves, they got some cool bonuses.
Anyway, and amusing little quiz.
