Kal-el i like the idea of your mod sounds awsome. cant wait till its done. in your new .76 beta do you have the tech chooser screens in. And i noticed that the wrong picks are showing up for units and buildings in the production menu. I can't seem to start a new game with your mod or even a quick start game. I have to load a senario and start from there. 2 more things..
Could that be happening because i have the balancer mod installed? and i noticed that the computer was placing resources in the water that shouldn't be there.
If you can clear any of this up for me that would be great! Keep it up what ive seen on you webpage and in game looks great.

I would urge you to send Isak a savegame.
He just loves those. :-)
Further more.
I think it would be better if you followed the thread at civfanatics becuase that is where we normally hang out.
Keep up the bugreporting.

Bump!
Well, many of you people over here on Apolyton may never have heard of it, but we have a nice little mod which is currently zeroing in on finalization, so I thought it was about time we got some input from this part of town as well.
You may have seen the mod, if you've bought PtW and downloaded the patches, as a 'low graphics' version of the mod is included in the official patches, but there is much more to the mod (and besides, we have fixed some bugs and oddities since the version included in the official patches) so I hope you'll check out our website over at http://civ3.bernskov.com and download the 'full' version of the mod.
Check out the Readme to find out more about what we want to achieve with this mod or go directly to the list of changes
Currently we have two versions of the mod - version 0.90 for the Standard Civ3 game, and version 1.03x for Play The World.
If you give it a try, please give us your feedback, either here or in our Forum at CDGroup
On behalf of the DyP Team,
TIA

Pyrodrew,
Take her for a test drive. You can download the latest version of the mod at civ3.bernskov.com or if you have PtW a graphics light version is included in the PtW Patches.
You can also join the ongoing discussion about the mod at either www.cdgroup.org/forums/tbs/civ3 or at CFC.
I am not sure where the AI is building their additional palaces, but in the latest releases we haven't been getting too much talk about the mod being too easy. Rather, more often we are getting comments that the game has taken on a new dimension and has been at times harder to win.

An unpaid, unsolicited ad for DyP, especially for Pyrodrew. I have been playing various versions of the DyP mod since well back and your concerns about the AI were well-founded. As Kal-El and his team piled additional stuff into their mod, it became a better and better experience for the human and, apparently, ever more confusing for the AI. Since PtW and the DyP PtW mod, this is no longer true and the AI is now building lots of those new Improvements, going for the Wonders in an intelligent way and building more advanced naval units (it always built lots of ground units, with new units always being the most advanced available (still sucks at upgrading)). While I can recommend this mod whole heartedly, you'll get a much better game from the AI if you have PtW installed.

I have already been accused of the mod being too Americentric and I think the Empire State Building fills the same role that the WTC towers would.

I just talked a friend with a cable modem into D/Ling DyP for me. I must say, it does take the game to new levels! Kudos...
Here are a couple of my variations on the game you may want to consider:
Settlers [one for each era]:
The earliest settlers were Nomads that found a fertile area and stopped moving. Their settlements were generally unplanned and; for the most part; "just happened."
(0.0.1)
The exploration of the New World lead many to plan a move to this new "wilderness." These Colonists arrived in ships and moved inland mostly on foot with pack animals to carry their meager possessions. They were equipped with firearms to defend themselves.
(0.1.1)
Western Pioneers used Covered Wagons carry their possessions throughout the Western United States. The wagons also increased their rate of travel over the Great Plains. They too carried firearms to defend themselves.
(0.1.2)
Modern Moving Vans [et.al.] are capable of quickly shipping many people and goods vast distances. They are [generally] unarmed.
(0.0.3)
Uses 4 citizens [4 citizens make for a quick start city late in the game]
Transports 1 foot unit
Bronze:
Don't you find it strange that you can make all those bronze age units without actually having any bronze! (0.0.1)
Strategic
