Positional Analysis:
Catcher: Best=Slackers, Worst=Bears
A fairly tight race near the top but with Piazza and Posado, the NY connection wins. Basing the worst ratings on the combine 3.7 points/game average.
1B: Best=Dissidents, Worst=M*******s
Dissidents can start a 3.6 average player at both 1B and Utility Infield. M*******s lack depth.
2B: Best=Dissidents, Worst=Slackers
An embarassment of riches at this position for the Dissidents but you can only start 1. Depth puts Slackers at worst, but Literates and Cougars aren't far behind.
SS: Best=Literates, Worst=Bears
With ARod and 3 other players that can play SS, Literates get it on quality and depth. Lowest points/game average puts Bears at worst.
3B: Best=Boneheads, Worst=M*******s
Boneheads win for having best 3B in baseball with Chipper Jones. M*******s have low rated player and no depth.
OF: Best=Cougars, Worst=Dissidents
This is a tight race but the nod goes to Bonds, Susuki, Floyd with the Bears a close second. Dissidents aren't bad, but with no player at Utility Outfield, they are simply outpointed.
Pitching looks at top 4 SP and top 2 RP
SP: Best=Boneheads, Worst=Bears
With the Pedro/Mussina combo, the Boneheads get the nod in a very balanced position. Bears look like they took hitting over pitching.
RP: Best=M*******s, Worst=Bears
M*******s have the best reliever in Riviera along with Mesa. Bears have lowest points/game average among top 2 RP.
Balance: Best=Cougars, Worst=Bears
Cougars Infield is not great but has a strong OF along with very solid pitching at both SP and RP. Bears may outhit everybody but will need career years from a weak pitching staff.
Projected Winner= Liffey Literates of course.
