My younger years as satan's child wasn't too bad. The kids teased me a bit about my father's occupation, but life wasn't too bad. I always won the my daddy can beat up your daddy arguments.

But I felt like I needed to be part of a military organization that kills people from vessels that reside in a liquid form of dihydrogen monoxide. It allows me to reign death from above.

But I grew tired of such a life, and wanted an occupation that allowed me to concentrate on spawning my seed of evil to the opposite sex. The military just did not allow enough time for this. Now aside from spamming certain nameless forums full of ultra-patriot americans, the bloody English, and wimpy Canadians ; I spend the rest of my time in pursuit of the pleasures of the flesh.

I strongly resent that remark about Canadians, well, strongly is a bit to harsh. Let's say it kind of bugs me, not that you don't have a right to say, and feel free to tell us how you feel, but still you should give a little bit of respect to your northern neighbors, although I guess it is good that you remembered us cause a lot of people don't know we're here.

I guess it is true that Canadians are pretty mild mannered and peaceful. I know a lot of people probably think that about me.

I am 33, an officer in the USN. I'm not married, but I'm planning to be at some point. I have a BA in history, and my girlfriend makes three times as much money as I do. She even pays all the rent at our apartment in Annapolis, Maryland.

I enjoy computer games, everything from Civilization to Half Life, SimCity to Fallout. I build models (ships, mostly, but also some planes, and rockets), I play poker, and I can grill up a mean steak. I also play the trumpet, I've been doing that for 24 years. I even started my own jazz band, called the Admiralty, and we played a few gigs, but it didn't last very long.

I tend to avoid spammy personality driven threads like the cofee shop and this one in favor of threads where there is a good chance of bloodletting. There I post mediocre arguments in a thick style which tends to lose focus the longer it goes, in large part because I'm posting from work and I get interupted.

I'm generally pretty quiet around here & when I do turn up I tend to avoid conflict and try and make thought-provoking and meaningful posts. I am also the world's second-greatest liar.

My pet hates include abominable spelling, terrible grammar and people who don't support their arguments properly. I try to be as nice a person as possible, have a liberal outlook on life and do my best not to discriminate and always see the other person's point of view.

Who I am and what I do outside this forum is none of your business.

I don't post often, but try to be reasonably polite and considered. I occasionally lose it and say nasty things but I am taking steps to prevent this (for example, I will no longer post in respose to any comment made by Chris62).

I always thought that MtG was far to arrogant and opinionated to be a mod, and said so a few times, so I am pleased that you are replacing him. I have no idea what you will be like, but we can always hope...
