Sorry to hear that.
I had a dog named Snuggles once (I didn't name him, my sister did!) that died at the ripe old age of 18 or so...they got him before I was born.
I was pretty bummed out when he got put down...

It is obvious that most of Horse's impertinent behavior stems from some deep childhood trauma related to cats. I think one must have licked his wee-wee when he was a helpless infant or something. Or maybe it ignored his wee-wee. In either case, he is a deeply disturbed individual as a result.

We must not blame one pedophile cat for all of our woes, Horse. Let down your mask...be open and honest.
Let this be a healing place for you.

Now apologize to Patches' spirit and get on with your life.
