Let's just say my IQ is 150 because I say it is. The last "real" test I took when I was in school I was in the 130's. I'm not counting inaccurate online tests which I usually score higher.

Hmmm... I do tend to be pretty good at this kind of thing, it's one of my major strengths when playing Civ-type strategy games...

Apart from that, I don't trust this test too much either, and I certainly won't pay money for the full report. It was kind of fun though.

The people who run this site are idiots, they're obviously trying to suck a bit of money off people, but the people with a high IQ are going to know that and not pay anything.

But it's quite irrelevant because most of the questions were very easy.

Does anyone else think these tests may score people artifically high, so that some saddoes pay for a certificate showing they have genius levels IQ's??

PS.. it took me two tries to get off the opening screen, i forgot to put my gender and then location, so much for a 134 IQ!!!!

It would seem that way. I thought only about 5% of the population had an IQ of 130+. I'm sure the average Apolyton user is a bit above the norm, but not by that much.

Well, this is the first IQ test I've done in a very, very long time, and I can't remember what it was last time...
And I'd better be an Insightful Linguist, after all, I am a linguist.

Is the average IQ at Apolyton really around 130, or are all the people with less too intimidated to post theirs (or even take the test).

Like most i have seen, not worth much, just an ego booster. On this internet tests i have scorce 45 to 60 (I do not think that any of the real scales in use went over 200) points above my measured IQ.

i refuse to try this test, because how can they possibly have a mathematical equation to figure intelligence if their signup program keeps telling me that being born on April 15th, 1984 makes me under fifteen and not eligible for the test.

Hmm. Got 164 out of 200 questions right on the vocab test that Wraith posted. Not bad, if I do say so myself. A nice and nasty test, although the chancy nature of the guesses can play with the scores a bit I suspect.
