There is no forcing about it, PBEM is simply a popular game mode. It allows players from different corners of the world to play together, it allows players in an MP game to play "at their own pace" (ie play their turn at any time of day, and to take any reasonable length of time)

Quite right. Theres nothing quite so fun as a 16 player simultaneous turn execution TBS PBEM game.

Im not saying PBEM woudl be taken out, but IP play should be added.

I cant tell if your being sarcastic about my all factrions at once thing, but i do think it would be a good idea even if only in single player

No sarcasm at all . Having played such a game (Stars!, 4X space game) I can assure you it is positively fun. However such a game wouldn't really work if all players had to be connected simultaneously, especially considering how long it takes to play a proper 4X game.
