I nominate The Apolytian Capitalist Party Leader "Bear" to the position of City Planner, The only question I ask is if the City Planner is able to appoint people to devise plans for certain things, ie cities, and roads?

The Cabinet Members are expected to poll the People about decisions under their Ministry. They do not appoint Deputies and or Special Assistants. There really isn't much that is detailed and complex about planning roads, etc.

As far as nominating anyone for office, we will have to wait and see what the results of the poll are. The Banana could end up the winner...

There is one problem with me bwing VP: I will be in Utah on vacation without computers from the evening of the 28th until July 10th. I believe I could still be VP even with this obstacle if we just have the elections a few days earlier and have replaced incumbents be sitting ducks for a few days.

VP is only really needed to post elections at that time anyway, civman. As has been seen with the work load of all VPs to date (including me), you don't need to do any work unless you're an idiot enough to get yourself involved in far far too much.
