That sucks! Right now I'm drinking a mix of lemonade and vodka....since I don't have any refreshing beer to drink.

I prefer SamAdams. Amber Bock, Anchor Steam, Killian's, and the Bass Ale/Guiness mix.

I have plenty of fine wine, Lefty. I was having a beer craving. I've got, probably 9 bottles of wine stashed. I belong to two wine of the month clubs (though I've suspended my membership for the duration of not having any money). Between what I was getting, plus the beer and wine I sending to Mom and Dad, it was costing my $100 a month, which I canna afford right now.

There's a six pack of Newcastle in the fridge right now. $6.98 at FoodLion.

Orange, I get $275 a week in unemployment. Three weeks go to rent, one week goes to utilities. But there's a little left over that can go to b33r.

Boris, what Kamrat X said. Wraith got me hooked on Megatokyo, where one of the main charaters consistently refers to beer as b33r.

drake, my last quarter in college I took a Wines of the World class (I audited it for free, asked the prof if I could just pay the lab fee and sit in). Let me tell you something about wine. Once you start drinking the good stuff, you can't go back to the old stuff. Now, it's next to impossible to find any of the wines mentioned in magazines like Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast because they gets snapped up as soon as they are mentioned. If I want quality wine, I need someone to get it for me. I have not regretted being a member of either wine club.

Not only do you get the wine, but the send a little newsletter that tells you all about the vintages you've bought, the regions it's grown in, and a recipe to make with wine. The best version of pasta carabonara I've ever had came from one of these newsletters. I love carabonara. I've lost the recipe twice (in moves) and they've sent me a new copy both times.

As I said in that movie thread a bit back Boris, I do not have sophisticated tastes.

I have never had "good wine" nor will I probably ever will. It is my opinion that only an idiot would pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars for a few ounces of old grape juice. Just as I would prefer going to the Olive Garden to some ritzy, fuddy duddy french cuisine place that serves a pretty little plate thats about as big as a cracker and charges 100 bucks for it. I'm not into that culture crap.

Yes wine packs a good punch, but it doesnt have to be quality to do so. My bro and I and a friend once polished off a gallon of Carlo Rossi Wine (7 bucks for a gallon ) in a few hours and holy **** we were toast.

Wine drunk is a whole different ballgame than beer drunk, no doubt about that.

Much worse hangovers too
