The germans did. The fighters were just there to camp the army base in a french city we were attacking called Grandpre. We on the ground, contested the city and had about 10 tanks and 30 infantry attacking it. They went down and were straffing the crap outta the AB where the defenders spawn in and killing the infantry coming out. But after like 15 minutes alot of Me-109's came along and chased them into the clouds. I have no idea what happened after that. But since we didnt take the city on the ground, I would assume we lost.

aircraft attacking ground targets should always have cover. even if they are fighters thier attention is elsewhere. but thats just me

hmm. I forgot to tell you guys...

I tried flying but the frame rate dropped too much. so I went ground forces. I play both axis and allies, it's more fun that way. but I don't play both sides in the same zone. I play Axis in Waterloo Brussles area. (I was there most of the day defending waterloo from A13s) And i play as allies down near Chilly and Charleville. (charleville mostly but it was lost to the Germans.)

what are your game names! I want to stalk you online!!

You basterds. You recapped Brussels. lol. That was cheap. They attacked out of a enciclement. Actually, I blame the 30 or so defenders who werent gaurding the bunkers. (Too busy playing whack a mole, or find the german who pulled the flag. And since Brussels is a HUGE city, its impossible to find the SOB. So once the flag is uncontested he just goes and pulls it down again. Repeat, Rinse.)

w00t to the 1.67 patch. Check the kickass Graphics Space? Amazing....and they said they found some RAM-memory saving procedures. w00t.

I can fly the Hawk, Hurricane and Spitfire with ok fps ( I dont bother with the blenhiem, its a gas can. a slight breeze and it catches on fire). Nothing compared to the ubershmidt Run09's. The 109's I see/engage always "E" or run out of the fight. So gotta dive on em'

Anyway, instead of playing whack a mole in Brussels. How bout attacking south? All the real men fight there.

If you want me I am in a french uniform, with a Rifle or Somua tank on Channel 17. Actually, it varies. But I always fight in Northern France. I know the place like the back of my hand.

Waterloo and Enghien have been a ***** of encircled cities. Even tho out of supply, they still are tough to take (if not impossible). I flew over loo last night and saw thousands of name tags. Like ants defending a hill. When I straffed, I killed 13 men in a hurricane

DUDE! The ONLY reason we took Brussles back is because as soon as it went contested the GHC called in for backup and everyone knowing how important it is showed up. In the bunker I was helping to gaurd there were 10 inf. (1sap/3rif/6mg) and about two or three tanks rolling around outside.

I'm going to dl that patch. and if the graphics are really that improved than WHOOHOO!!!!!! YAY!!! (its not available yet )
and damn it you french dont need more armor your stuff already shreds our to tossed salad. the english need new armor, preferably equiped with HE rounds. the fact that they only have AP makes it easy to run from them.
Waterloo has been held by sheer numbers. not to mention the allies dont send in any inf with thier 3000 tanks. (which all get knocked out by cheap sappers btw)
oh and send more blens. im having fun shooting them down with my pistol
oh and if you ever go German Im usual to be found in the Waterloo area. TONS of great battles there!

oh and BOOOO!!! at the fb only being able to be destroyed by sappers. I liked playing AA gun at the fbs. taking out bombers and tanks alike. (especially the brits A13s damn those thins carve like a fine butter)

oh and Jon Miller as soon as you get the game and start playing you will quickly realize one MAJOR difference between RL ww2 and the game: the French ain't sissys in the game.

JohnIII it takes about 30 seconds to get a plane to the action. that is as long as the allies keep Antwerp. if they lose that then it takes about 5-10 minutes to get to the front.

Depends which plane. You can only get Spitfires from Britain.

theres nothing wrong with Hurricanes, except the fact that they don't take negative Gs very well. I would say the best allied aircraft is the Hawk, it flies very nicely and has an eff load of firepower. But in the end you can be flying the worlds best WWII fighter but if you don't know how to dog fight you'll drop like a stone. ((and just to let you know I've seen more allied aircraft in the air than German. if you want a real challange fly Me-109 top cover.))

I havent been on. My damn account got frozen for clipping the Givet Railroad Bridge lol!!!!! I should get it back this weekend. And actually I clipped it on accident. Hatch just happened to come over the bridge and see me.


Some things about I just learned about the BLEN tho I wanted to share.


The Blen, unlike the stuka is NOT a dive bomber. However, in order to take out German Forward Bases you must improvise. Atleast until CRS makes it so Sappers can only blow FB's.

Anyway, go to high altitude (10k). Cut your engine off...Start going down in a corkscrew pattern. Usually I drop the load right as I get down and can see it. Switch to bomber position *blam* Cut engines on. And get the **** out of there. This works great, ive escaped everytime. (USually an Axis player is gaurding the FB with his flak gun or a few times Ive seen 2-3 if its an important FB). These axis guys are suckers. Usually they will see the Blen's rolling in 1k off the ground and hear from where there coming from. Not me...my engine is off.

The Hurricane is a POS in my opinion. Its pretty obsolete...I have a 117-355 kill-death ration in that thing. Im a good pilot, but I cant stand this plane.


Anyway. Im glad to hear the announcement on where the game is heading. From what I understand. It goes like this. The map starts out in 1940. If a side has not won in 4 months, the 1941 equipment set will be introduced. Etc...4 months later...1942. THe whole map will eventually grow to engulf all of Europe, Russia and N.Africa.

There are tons of newbies out there running around when I was last on.

Oh and the Capture Paradigm will be changed. Right now, unles its a 2 AB city. Usually what you get is a massive Spawn camp fest setup. Then someone grabs the flag and the spawn campers mow down hundreds of defensless EI desperately trying to escape to Unconstest the down. After about 5 minutes the campers are usually overwhelmed by hordes of sappers. The whole thing is being fixed.

Plus ive been practicing on Depots in Luxembourg lately. The next patch will bring in a more thorough Supply system. Meaning, If me and 30 other Bombers go out of our way too bomb a factorys or Depots . we can actually damage the axis tank and gas supply pool. I dont know how significantly, but this is a great step in the right direction

btw space. For awhile, we had pushed you guys all the way back to Liege. A large squad called the Anzac's headed the whole operation. The thing just fell apart after awhile.

I've seen lots of Blens flying around like they're stukas. but yeah cutting your engines does help a lot with not getting noticed especially because flak gunners are folloing the last plane they shot at and rarely look straight up.
what do you mean you clipped the rr bridge? and why would your account get frozen for it?
nOObs abound, I thought I was a nOOb but Ive ran into people who have just gotten thier game. a lot of them are kids though which kinda sucks because they dont understand that you have to aim your gun, and recoil is when it kicks back, they also dont understand turning xmit off on 7. even when they get blasted by everyone for it.
One addition they really need to add to the game is friendly fire. even though its fun to shoot at tanks with flak guns while sappers are trying to sap them.
