June 10, 1942 - The Czech city of Lidice is completely razed by the Nazis as a reprisal for the execution of SS Leader Reinhard Heydrich, who was killed by Czech partisans. The Nazis killed every male over the age of 16 and sent the remaining women and children to concentration camps. The city was then razed, building by building, until it was completely destroyed. The area of the town was then plowed over and planted with grain. The name of the town was also removed from all Nazi maps. |
Lidice was not the only Czech town razed after the successfull assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. The other one was Lezaky. Although these were rather small villages, not even towns, they were literally razed, just like in Civ3.
Coracle, what makes you think that it is you who can distinguish between features and bugs? A bug is something that creeps into the program inadvertently. A feature is something that is there deliberately. Culture flipping is a feature you don't like, that's it (I mean, a feature you do not know how to handle). Speaking of bugs in this context is ridiculous.

Vondrack you know Coracle is being rhetorical in his complaint about culture flippin...
And for the most part I agree with him, there is no reasonable context for culture flipping. Especially in the context of conquered lands.
