Stalin II, the easiest way to play Civ II MP games is to have a distribution that includes the MP feature. In Finland the Civilization II Universal Classic Collection is the most recent sold version of Civ II that has MP inlcluded. But currently there's AFAIK no new copies sold anymore, so you have to get one second hand copy. I have bought one new one in 1998 when it was still available as new (price: 280 FIM) and one as second hand this year (price: 10 €).

So what should you do?

Get that altered file from CivFanatics or buy a copy with MP included ( i.e. bribe me to sell mine ). Or wait for the Civ III Play the World add-on that includes MP (TB and realtime).

BTW I can't recommend the use of that fixed file as someone reported trouble with it recently on Poly. But that's something I haven't been able to confirm, as I don't have to use it.

Do you need help with getting a copy of it? As it's rare to see any to sold be in public (i.e. free advertising papers like Keltainen Pörssi or on the net) as second hand (most are sold to friends).

yeah... but im gonna try to convert my classic to gold! And Rasbelin, if you have a file called "XDAEMON.DLL" can you send it to me in mail? please, it could make the gold work
