Hey Speer - thanks for posting the photos. They were really interesting. I hope you and your friends do well in life. Looks like a tough neighbourhood to grow up in.

One thing I found interesting was the mixed population. The impression you get from movies and TV is that black and white are still kind of segregated in America and live in different areas.

we all brothers, AH... we deal with the same ****. Some black people I know is cool with whites but they feel whites dont know about racism so they dont got exactly the same struggle but when it comes down to it... we live in the same city, in the same kind of homes, in the same everything and we all fighting the same struggle. Whether you black, english, or rican, you're brothers fighting the same struggle know what im saying?

yeah but the thing is... that healthy attitude is what gets people to succeed and when they succeed, they leave the city and move to the suburbs. thats one of the problems here. All the people who succeed just leave and dont bother trying to improve whats going down here. People be forgetting where they came from. The young boys coming up now will probably split up into those that make it and those that dont but it's alright. Even those that dont make it manage to hang on even if they can't hold on. Thats why I'm so vehement about morals and **** cause I want all these young boys and girls to come up straight and not be getting into drugs and sex and ****. But it just gets hard and it's hard to deter someone who got nothing to lose.

What? alright maybe I should explain something... when i type up something off the top of my head real fast or when i type something real emotional, i just speak it to myself and type it out so it comes out with the dialect. Other times when I'm on an intellectual tip and i got time to think things out straight, I get more formal. I mean when I write school essays I'm formal cause I got time to be formal... when I'm talking to someone (or typing real fast) I just talk natural

Nice pictures Herr Albert, yep that's what I remember from the NE. Although the area around Temple was much worse in early 90's.

Paikti you do realize that the US is a much much more violent than anyother country in the world and especially our peacefull little Greece. So shootings and violent crime is a daily occurence, tragically so.

The streets are always empty in a lot of cities in the States. There ae exceptions of course but people do prefer to drive instead of walking, even the smallest of distances.

If you think they have lots of parking space there, you should see the amount of parking space in Texas suburbs. You would crap your pants. And whoever said Americans drive even short distances is exactly right.
