Hmmm. I hope everyone understands that "by kassiopeia" does not necessarily mean the author but the submitter of the link... as much as I'd like to take the credit, Nemesis is frankychan's handiwork, not mine.

Can that be changed? I think MarkG would be the best person to change that, because it does look a bit misleading, as though you wrote the story (no offence to you - you didn't intend it that way, I know!).

Either way, we ought to change it. It's just a question of finding out who has the clearance to do so.

You are right... in the Photos section, most of them are submitted by Rasbelin although he obviously didn't take them. It should read "link by", now it implies "stuff behind the link by". That, or from now on we also add the author's name to the description.

It's just that there's some rather old stuff out there that would be good to be added, but the chances of contacting the authors and having them add the links themselves is astronomical. I did ask frankychan before adding his story, btw.

These short stories are rather old now, and they have long since disappeared in the Fiction threads, but they may be new to those of you who joined Apolyton after 2000. Re-reading them I’d like to do a bit (or a lot) of word-smithing, but perhaps it is better to leave them unmodified. Another short story Bright Beginnings is already posted under Tales. The rest will be (mercifully) buried by the depths of time.

OK. I updated my profile and I submitted one entry to Drama and Humor/Humour (I may have submitted the same story to Drama twice since it didn't seem to work). I got a message that said they had been submitted. However, they don't show up. Is there a lag time, or perhaps it didn't take? Or, more likely, did I do something wrong?

Also, the entry fields are a tad confusing. For instance, is "Name" the title of the story, or the author's name? assumed it was the 'name' of the story. Is there a way to recognize multiple authors? What are thumbnail images, version numbers, and all the image info for? I ignored these.

submitted entries need to be approved first, before they show up

you should get 2 mails that they were approved(they were, with an edit in the url's)

"name" is now "title" in the add link page
the author name is taken automatically as the name of the one who submits the entry

multiple authors are not supported. they should be mentioned in the description

images fields are for the case that you have a related image or screenshot. usually it wont apply for fiction

version numbers and other such fields are for files
