The provincial capitol of Sevilla was all a buzz over the statements of the Phonecian leader Chris and the numerous Phonecian forces aproaching Pamplona. While the govenor of Sevilla ordered a hasty completion of the walls at Pamplona, El Cid called for calm. "There must be a peacful way," El Cid proclaimed. But add," if it comes to war, we will be ready."

In other news, a diplomatic party from the Egyptians appeared outside of the southern provincial capitol of Leon. They have yet to establish an embassy.

A suprised and mildly embarassed Chris appeared today to offer a line of communication to the Spanish. "Recently, many of our citizens decried the overcrowding on the northeastern peninsula, and stated their intent to seek their fortune in the southeastern wildlands. Knowing that barbarians tend to lurk in the uncivilized regions, I offered bodyguards to accompany them. I actually hadn't realized that the movement of troops might alarm my neighbors."

"El Cid, Spanish Citizens, my friends; I assure you that the troops are solely for the protection of adventurous settlers. As a show of goodwill, I will order the pilgrims to make their path on the eastern side of Nora_Medical, staying well clear of Pamplona."

EL CID APPLAUDS THE GREAT CHRIS IN CRABFIELD DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Today El Cid proclaimed a week of celebration, in honor of the Phonecian recognition of Spanish sovreignty over the southern coastal crabfields. In a return gesture, El Cid ordered Spanish scholars to Nora_Medical, to instruct the Phonecians in the science of geometry.

In an unrelated announcement, the Moorish Guards Horse Archers have been recalled from the easterm Phonecian penisula. They are to report to Seville for refit.

In statements today, the Germans would like all other nations to know that Germany is an island. The entire land will now be known as Germany. Any foreign settlers will be sent away immediatly no foreign military units should land until given permission. The island of Germany is located in the NW.

Also today, the German city of Frankfurt was founded.
