Tilemacho.
Democracy has much worse production than Theocracy because of the shorter working day. You get more Gold but you have to pay your citizens more so your surplus is smaller. The Science coeffient is better and your people breed like rabbits so it's as broad as it's long. Only problem is keeping your baby-boomers happy without the troops to step on them!

Slamp,
It couldn't have been that bad, being on AI. Your pulling away on the power graph and you sure have alot of trade routes(I always thought that was unusual to see trade routes going to empty squares).

Yeah, and I didn't take much advantage of some stupid military movements of the AI

Does a military unit produce military Discontent when pleaced on a tile with fortress built on it?
...
And I thought Democracy was a realy good goverment. I should better have stayed a little bit longer to Theocracy...(I just hope I can still win the London Exchange race )
You see I am a big fun of the Greek Stock Market and this Wonder fits...

Democracy is good, if you are set-up to use it. Printing houses and academies are the order of the day. As for the war discontent, you just have to switch governments every 12 to 16 turns, or pare down your military(not wise). Theocracy is the perfect government in the regular game, with CD mods it isn't quite as good. What really hurts is the city limit of 20. Since we started with 10 cities, and we should have all found an extra one or two, theocracy was only good for a limited time. It would be very difficult to maintain a theocracy until you researched fascism or communism.

Is the over-city limit unhappiness modifier higher for Theocracy in CD?

The unhappiness coefficient is the same, you just start geting the effects at 20 instead of 45. This is a hugh difference, as before you could use theocracy until you got fascism or communism, if you wanted to avoid the "war discontent" of republic and democracy. Now that is impossible with the cut in trade gold, building cities takes on more importance.

AI created 2 new cities too close to others cities and the power graph is good because Ai also created some military units.

Slamp if you sent it to me please resend because I didn't get it...

Yes, I know that we must swich to Democracy when be reach 20 cities, but if I have stayed to Theocracy a little more I would be able to complete the Wonder earlier...and I could have rush buy some stupid tempels and aquedacts that slow my development now...

Slamp why dont you disband the cities since they are only size 1 to build them in an other place...

Turn 37 -> Slamp

Citizen Dolan queried the Commander of the National Guard, "...and what do you attribute this severe drop in the Officer Corps?"

"It is the First Citizen, he has sent his agents among the Guard units looking for volunteers to work on his privitization project. Many officers have resigned their commissons to work on Swisazuma's Exchange" The Commander noted the reaction of the assembly to the terseness of his last statement, and rapidly backpeddled. "Of course many of these men have seen the great advances the First Citizen has brought to the Aztec nation. They wish to be part of the next great advances which will bring great riches to us." The Assembly rose to applaud the Commander, an ovation which lasted many minutes. And as he left the Assembly Room, he thought to himself, nice save.
