turn 31 to the greedy vikings
I realise the vikings are a bloodthirsty lot but those beaver are Dutch! Did your traders not see the ear tags? We've tagged every beaver in that forest, there are no free ones for you. If you want to trade beaver, we can negotiate price. If, on the other hand, you insist on tresspassing....
Nice stack yourself Aztecs, your correct in that I made no claims to the area before your arrival. I am now! You are far from home while I am just outside my city radius. I would hope we could come to some mutually agreed upon demarcation line?
Greetings Americans (again), your troops explore distant lands I see....

Wilheim of the Dutch:
It upsets me greatly that you would create such non-sense in an attempt to slander the name of the Noble Vikings. But in an effort to ensure our friendship, we would like to offer you those beaver back. After you defeat us. In our civilized society, we have a law, "Possesion is 9/10's of the law" So come and get it, (your death that is). We have nothing further for you, except to wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
As for the slanderous Aztecs:
It saddens the people of the Viking nation in which you would make such claims that have absolutely no substance whatsoever. Can you tell me when the last time was you walked the lands on which these beaver you speak of lie? Ohh, that's right, NEVER. So why would you participate in such a behavior if you are as good as you think you are? I hope that our relationship is repairable, but at this point the Vikings are not happy wiht you at all.
To the respectable nations: (Greek and Americans): I hope that you keep an ear to the ground as these Aztecs have crossed a noble nation for no reason. You must watch them and the Dutch for there is some sort of conspiracy occurring. We hope that our efforts of peace with you have built a strong foundation, and that you will take stake in our claims, over an untrustworthy nation of feather wearing indians.
Thank you

As expected, it has come to war. If that's what the vikings want, the Dutch will gladly comply. Clearly we won't be here for long since we have only a spot of land and nowhere to expand, but we will make our mark!

Wilheim,
I have gifted you some gold to help your cause against us... just because we feel so badly for you. That stack is finished by the way...
Also to the Aztecs... I know that you and I have had our differences... but i have some advice for you, which may repair our friendship. The dutch have drawn significant forces towards my front. I know that he can only have very minimal support left up the rear. This is your chance to push him off of your land, which belongs to you.

Just so it's clear, I attacked first to save further road pillaging and to regain Dutch beaver. We the Dutch will go to any length for beaver! Seriously though, I really don't understand this incursion by the vikings...
On my other front, if that aztec slaver moves next to my city this turn, it will be enslaved! So much for negotiation with "Mr. peaceful".

Roman guards have discovered a Viking Slaver wandering the territories of the Great Roman empire. Our troops decided to expel the unit this time, next time we will not be so nice and have these sinister cretins crucified.

Dear friendly neighbor:
The Viking nation is simply out to protect itself and harm no one. It has come to our attention by an anonymous tip, that the Romans are a slaving nation, therefore, we must verify the tip and find the enemy slavers to ensure the safety of our people. Furhtermore, It is the Vikings understanding that the encroachment of your Road, past pre-determined lines, violates our policy, thus giving us the right and need to protect our nation, within any means necessary. An explanation of your violation would also be necessary to continue our peace efforts.
Thank you,
Mike the Vike

Turn 37 --> Donicus
The mighty leader of the Greeks is shocked to hear that another nation managed to beat him to the building of the labrynith. Shavlor wonders at why the Aztecs refuse to trade maps is it because they are trying to hide a dark secret under a black veil?

Vikings
If your concerned about our slavers than keep your slavers on your side of our so called pre-determined borders. Because that's where our slavers would be, but since we do not swoop to that level than fear not, as no Roman slavers will be found lurking in your territory. Our road is there to ensure swift and rapid movement of our mighty legions, just in case the Vikings decide that expansion into our lands suddenly seems inviting. As no border arrangements have been negotiated with the vikings, we were not aware that our road has encroached Viking lands.

Turn 38 --> Donicus
The Greek Trieme was blocked by a Aztec Ship in the confusion that lay ahead the Greek trieme ended its movement on a crab or pearl which had on it a net. The Greeks are sorry for this incovince and will move off this net once the way is cleared. If the Aztec ship contuines its movement to block the sea from the Greeks, the Greek trieme will be forced to pillage the net.

To the Aztecs:
I have re-examined our boating situation... and you could also move north... Just enough for me to get out..
Also that phalanx that ran into your city will be retreating, and will explore no further, as we the Viking people respect your land, and wish to remain friendly with you! Thanks again for your cooperation.
To All Civilizations: whoever Pirated my Trade route, that was rude, and uncalled for. We will not tolerate this type of behavior! Please do not do this again, If you need gold that badly just ask us, we have plenty! We also make loans with very low interest.
