hi ,

it would be usefull if there was a date on when the thread was started in the thread list , ...

but that is up to Mark or Dan , ...

its a huge task to keep it all update , ...

any ideas on how to make it more easy , ...

Are you talking about the directory I keep up?

I could possibly do that from here forward. It would be a task going back and finding them all, though. I already am putting closing dates on the Polls, though...

We, for example, try to open an office to maintain statistics of polls and request the closure of outdated/obsolete polls for example.
A thread is used as poll-index, and the mod checks this thread for posts to update an index-post.
The officers check the polls there and collect statistics and the status of the poll. If the poll closes/outdates, they post the result in the poll index thread and the mod updates the stats in the 1st post.

Yeah, here we have this thing called the directory.

It is on top, and has a link to all official polls, an archive of older polls, and a link to most discussions seperated by the department they fall under.

But are there summaries of discussions/polls in there?
A quick overview of the polls and maybe even some conclusive discussions would be nice to keep on top of the info.

As I said, most all discussions end up in one of many ways:

First, the isue resolves itself and the discussion dies
Second, they directly influence a Minister's orders
Third, they wind up in a poll

I could post poll results in the Directory, but that would take some work. The titles of the links TRY to give a good explaination of what the discussion is about, but the SUMMARY will wind up in either a poll or order. People should only need to check those two things to really know what is going on. That is One thread for orders. New thread every 3 days or so, and then watch the polls. They link back to the discussion if you missed it.

I have noticed that you guys also submit a thread or poll to be topped inside your forum when you create it. Here, I created a thread to add things to the directory, but no one is using it when they make their threads. I do not have all the time in the world. People could help out by giving me the links so I only need to look at one place to update instead of hunting around.

Thats what i intended to give as an idea:
An office which is responsible for collecting this data and posting it in the directory thread for you to update ;-)
I didnt mean you collect all this info...
Maybe one officer responsible for updating poll results, one for finding new discussions and posting the links, and maybe one for watching for discussion becoming obsolete.

It would be nice, but unlikely to really happen.

I have placed a thread asking for simple links, and recieved no input. Creating this an official position? Don't know if it will resolve the problem or not.

, it could be really intresting , ....

we could make it a job , but a job without any real power , ..... it would also be great for the government , with the push of a button they have all the info they need , ....
