Does this new law mean that Greek customs officials will now be searching for illegal contraband such as gameboys, chess computers, minesweeper installed on laptops?

Or more likely will they only selectivtively enforce the law?

Philosophically (sp?), I am very distrustful of laws that are not uniformly enforced - it gives the government too much discretion. It becomes fertile ground for corruption and harrasment.

I think it slipped through the parliement because there are so many other thinsg going on right now, because the "dissidents" do not really count in the bigger scheme of things (orat least that's what the gov. thinks, erroniously since everyone should count).

Also the exposure is non existant because the law is not enforced. Doh!.
