Country prepares for war!
President sez: "Every American must keep working to protect our liberties and help our loyal allies"
Japanese infiltrators thwarted!
In a daring move during the latest month the US Army gathered together Americans with a Japanese backgorund. Army spokesman G.D. Grunt commented on the operation: "Well, you know we can't trust these people. That is why we are simply concentrating them so we can keep a better check on them."
The president denied that this was sinking to the level as the nazi's. "No, of course not! We're the land of the free, etc. It's in that uhhh, ehh, thingy. The constitution, that's it! We're the good guys, here look at this pamphlet. See, "We are the good guys". Told you so!"
The White House press secretary later denied rumours that the president was a moron.
US navy fights German submarines!
This month the US Navy began the struggle against the submarines, these pirates of the twentieth century. A special cabinet for keeping the Atlantic safe has been formed in Washington.

News from England
Most of the English Pacific fleet was destroyed by the Japanese attacks, but the remains are repositioning, and a few naval battles against Japan were won.
English troops at Cairo attampt to retake Alexandria with air support from nearby cities, but fail, also all of the German units outside the city were destroyed. A german city in central africa was left defenseless after being bombed by british planes. British atlantic fleet did not suffer as much as the Pacific one and it is preparing for operations to stop the German submarine attacks.
In Europe things look very bad. Attempted bombing of cities in Northern France and Norway did not achieve their goal, also some units in Norway were destroyed. North France seems to be a fortress that is impossible for the British alone to take.

We might want to have a human play the Chinese after all: The AI is moving its AA batteries. I guess that was (with hindsight) to be expected, but do we want this?
The same probably goes for the neutrals, although if I understand the designer correctly, the neutrals have been given a much more modest place in the scenario than the Chinese, so we don't need a player for them...
I'm going to hold my fire for a day or so.
Gen. Germanov.

May I suggest the new Chinese player takes no offensive action (no attacking) on his first turn. The Japanese player planned things out for an AI Chinese player so his defences will be pretty thin over there. I think a no first turn attack rule is only fair.
