Yes we are PN! But I think Thor has the final word (or is it Keygen) on whom to accept to replace St Jon as the leader of the Japanese once he leaves. As far as I'm concerned, it is fine with me.

After staying up till 3am the other night writing that ranking SLIC prototype, could be Pretty kNackered, but in keeping with my Japanese character, I wish to remain Perfectly iNscrutable
I got the turn thank-you. But it looks as though I may have been Premature wheN I volunteered. I'm waiting for Blackice to tell me he's happy that I didn't Push iN front of him in the queue to play.
So, rumours from Japan say there is a civil war going on. It is already known that 'Daimyo' St Jon is under interrogation by PN to learn of his nations' secrets before he announces himself as the new supreme ruler of Japan. (and then takes his turn) But St Jon is proving resistant to interrogation in the hope that his followers will rally behind him to evict PN (i.e. St Jon hasn't answered my email yet asking for background, strategy, rules, previous diplomatic exchanges, etc.) In this hiatus will the pretender Blackice take the Japanese people with him instead?

PN sends his greetings to the world. Regrettably , the Diamyo Johnito died under my interrogation. All hail the new Shogun of Japan.
My people are restless in their homes after my succession and I need to give them a positive sign that my rule will bring knowledge and prosperity, while not succumbing to the threat of incursions on my borders. The people are afraid that attacks on their villages (I hesitate to call them cities), will cause them to be destroyed and wiped from the map, so bringing no rewards to their conquerors.
I am especially nervous of the intentions of those to the North. As a sign of my respect and goodwill I offer the people who call themselves Assyrians a gift of trade. I understand that pearls are highly prized by my neighbours to the North. In return for this trade, I wish that the Assyrian unit that sits astride a hooved creature will return towards his own lands, and make no further progress either West or South. If my noble neighbour Assyria has no caravans prepared to carry such trade, I can only request that the hooved creature makes no more progress into my lands as an indication that he is preparing for trade.
I hope soon that I may send diplomatic representatives to all the world's leaders and establish embassies to our mutual benefit.
BTW who has sent diplomats and established embassies in Japan? Either post here, or reply direct to
dsryalls@lineone.net if
you do not wish the others to know!
PS I read through the posts right from turn 1 and I get the impression that there is some sort of "gentlemen's agreement" in this game to honour some pre-defined borders before the game began, and that everybody got to look at a blank map before the game started. Am I right, if so what are the "rules", and do I get to see the blank map?
Finally, who is moderator/supervisor who I should send my turn to, what is the turn order, and what is everybody's email address for this game?
Turn 55 -> Keygen This is my first turn in my first game. Hope I'm sending it to the right person!

Turn to King Thor of the Russians --
Hello PN of the Japanese! I will honor your request to move no further south, south-east, or south-west of that Knight Battalion's current position, with any of my units. Nor will I move south of that obvious mountain border we have established with units northeast of Hiroshima. However, I already have a city, Arballu, established one tile due north of that same Knight's position. I will colonize due west and north of Arballu, but no further south at all. I hope this arrangement brings peace to our two nations. I have gifted you two Advances as a gesture of my good will towards Japan. Regarding embassies, Assyria has Philosopher's Stone. We have embassies with all nations, until the Age of Reason.
