We have settled a fort/port on the Yuckatan Pennesula, this will be the furthest north we will go. We will permit you to settle as far south as your warriors present location, or with a city radius of the suar cane near that location. Should you chose to do this, you may have that sugar for what ever purpose you wish. Though our friendship is a little rocky now, we hope that in the near futue we can smooth this road out and perhaps become allies to ward off future enemies who may try to settle on our lands.

If you are sincere in your peace gessture, I have a suggestion. I assume there is a minimum of a 3 tile separation between our cities. The location f our scout is our city location. If so I propose each country be allowed to place military units only within one tile of their city. The middle will be considered to be a demilitarized zone (i.e., no military troops). If you are in agreement, I would be most pleased to discuss a mutual defense pact to ward off foreign invaders. You may indicate your assent by sending me a peace treaty offer in the menu. As a gesture of my intentions I have instructed my trade minister to offer you our goods for sale and we have sent a case of our finest California wines for your consumption.
