Because you probably ignore a characteristic of CTP.
Either you attack with one unit or nine you will get a message that you were attacked only by one unit .

In single player mode whenever I get attack by many units I always get a message that I had been attacked by a specific unit (e.g. phalanx) and not from many (e.g. 3 phalanxes, 2 legions and 5 archers .

My version sometimes seems strange. I never get a message that I was attacked, and I don't also get the "City Grew" messages. These things I only have in PBEMs. And I didn't download the 1.2 patch - it was in my box then.

What the heck has happened to this game? It was very quick first 20 turns or so, but now it's extremely slow. With only 3 players in it, well. Keygen, I think your connection is back now. Swissy also hangs around pretty often, so what's the matter?
