If anyone would like to deputise for me in Strife, High Voltage, Aint No Fun, and/or Fixed Game, between 26 May and 13 June please email me.

I also need volunteers to moderate in Face of Earth (which is running) and Chicken Run and Killer Game which are getting ready to start.

I'm also down to start in the Apolyton Pack game, so if that starts I'd like a volunteer to play for me until I get back from my honeymoon on 13 June.

To keep the turn rate going, volunteers East of Eastern USA and West of Central Europe would be best! I'm in GMT+1. Moderators time zone makes no difference though.

Why so nervous about Apolyton Pack Keygen? It installs in its own folders and doesn't overwrite or corrupt a single file in your original game install.

Yes, true but to make it work correctly I think you have to do a couple of modifications on the original files, not sure though. Besides I have never played with Apolyton Pack any game neither PBEM nor single-player before.

It wouldn't be hard for me to install it and start the game but maybe Dugrik knows something that I don't know regarding AP .

After install, all you have to do is edit a single line in your USERPROFILE.TXT file. You can do this in Notepad v. easily.

But you also have to apply patch 1.2.1

I need someone who can play my turn on Conquer and Fly High, on 29 may trough 2 june.
The Conquer is a slow game sometime and a Fly High is a stagnan one. It's will be lucky if you can play a turn on Fly high .

Anyway, to make the game move like the way suposse to be , i need someone who live beetween Asia and Denmark. But any one welcome.

Hey folks,

just looked around here for the first time. I've been playing (and loving) Civilization from the early days, and now that I have Call to Power I MUST play against live opponents!

I'm really looking for a head start, so if anyone is considering starting a game anytime soon, count me in... how long does it usually take until new games form?

Hi Rubbduck!

Nice to see a civ fun around .

The time a game needs to start is depending mainly from the player's response and feedback in a new challenge. Usually the games involve 5 to 6 players but it can have more or less people if wanted. I would say it could take a few days to few weeks to start a game.

Currently I would estimate that a new challenge would need at list a couple of weeks until players are gathered and their preferences are collected. It is nothing compared to the time a PBEM game takes, about a couple of years for a standard game.
Unless you are interested on a quick deathmatch that could last for 2-6 months or an online game which takes less time of cource.

If you are still interested on PBEM I could organize a new game soon. If interested in Online a couple of other players I now could start one and get you in.

Also periodically some players (few) drop from a game(s) so you may permanetaly sub them in a game in progress which is quite interesting case in my opinion to get involved quite fast .

But I'll also look for a chance to sub someone; I've been playing a few PBM before, and I know how annoying it is to lose players, especially in the middle of a well-developing game. :/

And before I forget it: no, I'm rather not interested in a quick "deathmatch" game; I'm more a fan of drawn-out, longer games.

I was thinking of starting a game. maybe a 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4. Along the lines of ANZAC's ( Australians, and New Zealanders) against the rest of the world. So come on the rest of you kiwi's and aussies on here, lets see if we can kick their butts. Who's interested?

That sound cool, I talked to fuzzball earlier and he sounded pretty keen. So me and fuzzball(if he's still keen), vs you and rubbduck, vs 2 americans. Sounds interesting. what now?? do you want to set it up, after we find the Americans? or me
