What a disaster yesterday

For those of you that hadn't heard the story yet...

We had some site problems yesterday during the big chat. Due to the load at the time, MarkG turned off all avatars and attachments showed as attachements instead of as the picture.

Unknown to me... I was busy splitting the thread into just posters and one for posts since we were approaching the 500 post limit. I wanted to clean the thread up so it would be easier for people to see the posters... and to make room for more.
(real smart move Ming... doing that during potentially one of the highest load times in this current year... Yeah, I wasn't thinking)

Being smart... I made a copy of the original thread and put it in the Civ II strategy forum for safe keeping incase I screwed up.

Well... when the thread split... EVERYTHING WAS SCREWED UP... posters were lost, everything was out of order... a complete disaster. So I went back to my back up thread... and it was screwed up as everything else...

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

So to make a long story short, my actions combined with the site problems caused a real problem to this thread. What can I say.

So I spent all day today cleaning up what I could.
The good new is that Ixnay has all 122 posters on his hard drive. The bad news, as you can see from the number of posts in this thread right now, over half are no longer here. I did the best I could.

So here is the drill... This thread is now open for business again. If you posted a poster and you can't find it... post it again if you still have a copy of it. If you don't... post a discription of the poster, and hopefully, Ixnay can find it on his machine, and repost it for you and give you credit for making it. That's the best we can do right now.

Again... I'm sorry for all of this. I wish it hadn't happened, but it did. But again, at least there are copies of all the great work somewhere. With any kind of luck, they will all appear again in this thread.

Thank you for your patience in this matter.

So now... carry on as if this thread was back to normal... new posters... old posters... and comments are welcome.

I just did a deep scan of my HDs to see if I haven't overwritten where the "So I Married a Moderator" pic was, since I deleted it after posting it, but it seems it was overwritten.
