Here's the Soviet turn, done by me on behalf of Case. Nothing much to report, just a bit of forced collectivization, a little nationalization, some rapid industrialization, a few liquidations.

You know, the usual.

Oh, and lots of fist shaking by the masses on the coast at the imperialist pirates floating around the Baltic.

WAR!

Italian Supreme Headquarters announced today that Italian air, sea and land forces had gone into action against British Imperial forces throughout the central and eastern Mediterranean, inflicting heavy casualties. The British Mediterranean fleet has been completely destroyed!

In the meantime, Italian tanks and artillery stormed across the Egyptian frontier, destroying the British forces defending Matruh, and unfortunately, Matruh itself. Italian spearheads have reached within 50km of Alexandria.

The Italian Foriegn Ministry has issued an announcement denouncing British aggression in Europe and in the Mediterranean in particular. It calls on other nations, notably France and Germany to join the crusade to stop British aggression and restore peace to the region. It wishes to reassure other powers, large and small, that Italy's quarrel is with Britain alone.

In response to the Italian sneak attack on sleeping british troops, the Royal navy is sending 3 battleships, 10 heavy cruisers and 4 destroyers to the mediterranean, most are leaving the russian theather as the russians are no longer a threat.

May i remind the world that it was the Italians who captured Greece from the Greek people and attacked the British troops and navy while they were sleeping, which backs up my claims that the italians can only beat the British Empire in their sleep with a battleship

I regret to inform the Italian Satan that your country will be pounded into the ground by the British Armed Forces.

Britain also wishes to know why and how did we come to have a "cease-fire" with the french?
Did u declare war and then get a cease-fire?

Soviet turn: Hero of Soviet Labour awarded to Red Banner Collective Farm of Minsk. Leningrad Soviet passes resolution condemning British Imperialist aggression in the Baltic and demanding the withdrawal of British units from Helsinki. Otherwise an uneventful turn in the workers paradise. (I'll post the Soviet save game upon request)

Italian turn: Egypt falls to the Italian Army! Il Duce stages triumphal march through Cairo. Italian units sieze Alexandria in a combined land and sea operation followed by a brilliant armoured exploitation that captures Cairo and the Suez Canal. Port Said unfortunately destroyed in heavy fighting. Crete cleared of British troops.

FMK, I think you should make land units cheaper, millitary buildup is too slow compared to the timeframe.

I thought i'd mention this as this is a playtest and all...

Costs overall are too high, but ground units are not out of whack with the rest.
