It's not always it goes wrong with hotmail, I have had about 2 corrupted saves since I started the other PBEM game...

FP, send it to me (The save for Calc), if I get a corruption error, we know where it originated. If it's ok, hmm, no idea then.
I could try to forward it.
In our game, we havn't had any probs yet, have we.

Maybe the error occurs when sending it, not recieving.

I've got some voodoo repellent standing by too, just in case...

Guys, I am still following this thread - even though Tibi is now back online, ready to play his turn, if it ever comes to it - just for sheer humour value...

Try ZIPping the SAVegame, it may help... ZIP is a much more standard format than SAV for any email provider. If even ZIPs get corrupted, then the provider would be flooded with complaints and would be likely to fix the problem ASAP.

We should calculate how long this game will last based on the duration of the first turn. Our grandchildren will have to finish what we started

Edited: Oops, we can't do that. We can't measure the length of the first turn, because we didn't finish it yet.

I tried charming this game by holding onto a rabbit's foot while loading, but before it got to 100%, a black cat jumped at me and I yelped and threw the foot onto the mirror and broke. Well no not really. But the amount of luck we have is less than what I portrayed.

That is actually something I've been wondering about, most here use broadband, right? How come you are using hotmail accounts? I' ve got one too, but mainly to register and as a diversion for that crap mail.

I've uploaded both the saves I made to ADG's ftp.

Hopefully they'll work when Calc download's them. (They should be identical, so it doesn't matter which you use, but I uploaded both just to be on the safe side.)

Ugh I go out for one day and guess what its my turn. ADG ur ftp site doesnt work. Also if Alva can play the file, I think I can trust alva to password my game, plot a city for me for the first turn.

oh for ur question, I use optonline, but I dont use that mail acct. I dont even know the email address... let alone the password.
