Yeah, great its gone gold.
Not that you'd know it from reading the Civ3.com website. The developers are obviously too overcome to have updated the website at all for three months.

Shipping overseas. Or arranging for local production (why didn't they PRE-arrange it?). Lack of PERFECT coordination, probably the result of not having unlimited funds in the first place.
If Civ3 was developed in the EU, there would probably be a delay to get it to the USA. OTOH, there is not a single predominate language in the EU, so maybe it would have been marketed in the USA first after all.
In the next 10-20 years, we will probably all be crying that software is developed first for China because of the much larger market there. |
Games developed in Europe are often released in US at the same time as in Europe (Battlefield 1942 for example), but perhaps the coordination is better over here
And I don't care if people hate me for this, but I think this delay is really stupid, and I will definately pirate it on the (US) release day, and buy it as soon as it is released in Sweden. (Yes, I DO buy the games I like, so in this case I believe I have the moral on my side, even though not the law) Why should I pay extra money to have it shipped from US when there is really no reason for Infogrames to delay the European release?
