I think you'll find it is you who has the wacky units. 12 inches to the foot, 3 foot to the yard?! 1000mm to the metre, 1000metres to the kilometre, and the same applies across the units. I mean, how does a mile match to a foot or a yard, or how many gills are there in a litre or troy ounces in a hundredweight?

I'm 5 foot 7 and a half (5'8 on the good days) which is.... 1.7145000000000001 meters. Both my folks are 5'4 (and they're both DUTCH! What the hell?!) , so I guess being 5'7 ain't too bad. Plus, my girlfriend is 5'3 (oh yeah, I love the petite girls too. raow.), so that works out well.

This is/was average height for Australian males - but kids are getting taller.

If you want to get taller and you are still growing - exercise in the sunshine. Its recently been found to stimulate growth including height.
