I am really sorry.. so stupid of me. I moved all the files into one folder and I keep clicking the first one I see with the proper date. I am really sorry. I will take care of this ASAP, but it will probably not be until 6-7 this evening. I will be careful this doesn't happen again.

Its Ok. I have done some stupid things myself, like posting that I had sent the turn when I had not, or sending an e-mail without attaching the file. Mistakes happen, I just wanted you to know that I recieved the incorrect file.

P.S. I have already installed v121 of PTW, has everyone else uprgraded?

I sent a message to Clegg, since the mail i received had a corrupt savegame.
I installed the 1.21f patch but i thought we were going to wait on this. I already know that the patch doesnt work on european copys of Play the world. I think i have the US one, thankfully. I did advise some caution on upgrading and applying a patch since i always check for feedback of bugs/problems and impact of the upgrade on a new version of both games and programs (i have to, since i work with software). Especially in this case since we have a game running. Still, lets hope there are no problems with the new patch.

Tragicus is correct, we had decided to wait one turn cycle to upgrade because of the possibility of this happening. Please see:

Clegg, if you have already installed the patch, please mess around with the preferences as before, and resend the file. Can we be sure that patching is what could be causing this? We have had this problem before have we not?

Any other thoughts on the matter?

Currently running 1.21f. Upgraded after mad bomber posted that he had installed the patch because I was concerned about possibly having issues opening his file.

I have re-sent the turn. Performed actions slightly differently, changed preferences, and saved a new file. Let me know if it works when you try to open it through the multiplayer menu (fixed previous issues).

If nothing else works, we can always try having everyone uninstall the patch up to the last 1.14f turn and see if that works.

I still have v1.14 on my hard drive I can reinstall that patch, but will it cancel out the v1.21? Also It was my understanding that the game should function under the patch it created, I have played previous games with different versions (a save from CIV3 1.21 when patched to 1.29) and have had no compatibility issues. I will reinstall 1.14 if it is necessary.

P.S. I had patched my version before the decision to not patch was made.

I don't believe there is any need to revert to previous patches, until we know beyond reasonable doubt that 1.29 is the cause of the current problem. This was a common problem before 1.29, maybe it is still a problem in 1.29.

the turn i received was played with the new patch (v.1.21.f), so i had to play with it too, could not open it with 'old' 1.14.
