Thats not anti Greek! At the worst, (and I mean absolute worse case scenerio worse) it's anti-Chantz...which also it wasn't. Besides, I'm half Greek, and I can eat baklava, Falafel, and spinach rolls with the best of em.

if you're half-greek and think greeks are biased against turks, you are terrible at being a half-greek. you should try harder.

and everyone loves baklava, that doesnt count

Well, I think you're getting at something Harry Potter. You are from Alabami, a southern state, and to a high degree, we can generalize the attitudes and worldviews carried by people of the south. You can do the same thing on a more national level, when you speak about the average Palestinian's view of an Israeli, or a Russian's view of a Chechen, or a Pakistani's view of an Indian....or yes, a Greek's opinion of a Turk. My Grandparents aren't hateful, so they do not feel that way about Turks, but the do poke fun and make jokes about Turks. And thats what I was doing, except in a much more lighthearted off beat way

edit: to quote Bill O'Reilly, "Mr. Potter, am I wrong?"

Hmm, sounds like Harry isn't from the South originally and hence his comments about those who are from this part of the country originally, like myself.

Oh, and you're right about the conservative aspect at least, which is only natural since people from the North look to the government to solve all their problems and hold their hands when life is "too rough" while folks in the south (the people who fought against a centralized, "all powerful", government) are more self-reliant and independant.

(Geeze, is anyone else bored while waiting on this game?)

Hrm... Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

I never knew Texas was "from the South" since I always figured they were more mid-west. I know Texas fought on the Confederate side during the civil war, but I don't think they are the "true south" whatever that's worth.

Hmm, what government jobs is he creating that weren't pressured on him by the demo's? Federal screener's, demo idea. Homeland security is more about re-organization than anything.

Except for the Libertarian views on legalizing drugs (and prostitution?) I agree with most of their views as well, except know that some "big government" ideas like police force, etc, should be paid for by all.

IG standards Mark?

Quote: As most people know, the game has officially been pushed back to the 4th Quarter; expect to see it on store shelves end of November! :End Quote.

As far as "the crash bugs are way in the endgame which may make them difficult to isolate"- Then why are the external BT's using their time to post such wonderful after action reports in single player? Is someone saying that not ONE of these BT's have experinced this crash, or have they all been told NOT to speak of this specifically in remarks, because of NDA's?

i think it's quite obvious that when it comes to posts by BT's the producers/developers would prefer them to post about how the gameplay is and not what kind of crashes they experienced. and since these crashes are intended to be fixed, it would be unfair for the game to talk about each of them.

after the release the BT's will be free to give their opinions on the bug fixing process

I am suprised not to see this suggestion... Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Infogrames' standards have not changed. Maximum profit. Further developement is on QS's dime so IG's primary concern is about market timing. I believe they have so many pre-sales orders that they expect to improve post-release sales with less competition and a higher quality product.

Remember, IG originally intended MOO III to be a first Quarter release. If it was a good idea last year, why is it not a good idea this year?

Quick Poll:

Do you think the delayed MOOIII release boosted Play The World sales?

Tired of ads?

There are no reproducible crash bugs in the latest build, that I know of, FWIW.

The reason the external testers aren't as likely to catch these late game MP bugs is that most of us, at least, can't play MP 8+ hours a day, and we have disparate schedules so it's harder for us to schedule any extended MP at all.

The internal QA people have it a bit easier on that front.

Actually, I think it has. If you consider "not going bankrupt" a standard. Maybe theyve learned from past mistakes (like Hero X), who knows?

Actually, according to market research that I've read, IG has made some decent profit in the console gaming industry as of late.
