It was pretty interesting, I started on an island that snaked it's way pretty far, right above War's area.

I was sucking wind though, and was relying on my navy to try to keep War away from me. Wouldn't have worked for long though...

Put an end to popups!

I had no luck early at all... The classic no hut no special openning. Everybody had their first, and some, their second city down long before I even found any place to settle. Then, no luck for the huts as they kept knocking me off the path for Monarchy... And by the end, just a few turns from taking the lead in pop
I don't think I've I had a decent starting location in the last 10 games I've played... sigh...

sorry lads, locked up.. yeah monarchy by 2650 really hurt me, so did the land early.....

that map was a snake....caravans were key for some of my cities.....
