On June 4, 1966, Hero of the Soviet Union Alexei Leonov conducted the first space walk in human history. His safe arrival home was greeted by a 4-hour parade in Red Square, after which he was awarded the Order of Lenin.




Meanwhile, Soviet industry has charged ahead in the Arms Race (built the wonder).

Revolution in India!

After years of complacency, the Communist Party of India has finally taken action. The charismatic Comrade Charu Mazumdar has united all far-left dissidents in India under the CPI, with promises of victory. Mazumdar's rebels, equipped with billions worth of Russian arms, have overthrown the corrupt government of Indira Gandhi.

Civil war has come to the subcontinent, and the revolutionaries have secured Ahmadabad, Kanpur, and the capital of Delhi. The Congress Party has been dissolved, a popular uprising has emtied Bombay of nationalist troops, and remaining fighters are on the run to the east.

Mazumdar has already begun massive communist reforms in occupied areas, and has sworn total allegiance to the Soviet Union.
