Okay, not having done a xxxx Alpha Centauri PBEM before are there any things us newbies have to know about once we get the file in the e-mail, such as who do we pass it on to, and how often are we doing turns?

I'll post the turn sequence in the thread once I start it. However, I'm still waiting on Fido Dido to contact me with the free tech that the Uni's start with (I've E-Mailed him and have not heard back yet).
As far as playing a PBEM Turn, Dreifels has on his website a screencapture for each step of playing a PBEM Turn. Here is the website:

Okay just noticed the request to post something here. . . I sent out Fido Dido's turn 1 about 36 hours ago. . .

Also a note to everyone, get the latest patches from the SMAC homepage, without these PBEM isn't even an option. Easy and qucik to install, but I pain in the @$$ if you haven't -- as I found out.
